Louis Boublitz District Court House
Hagerstown, Maryland

Located in the historic district of Hagerstown, this new court house reflects the architectural style of the city while infusing a contemporary flair. While only a 28,000-square foot building, the Ammon/DMJM Design joint venture team created a courthouse that is monumental, evoking the importance of the judicial system in this community.

The team programmed the courthouse to conform to Maryland District Court's strict criteria. It includes two courtrooms (including one for an eight-person jury), two judicial chambers, a 24-hour Commissioner's Department and administrative support spaces.
